 The future of golf begins with the juniors and Ironwood aims to help teach and grow that population. Ironwood's new 9-hole junior league meets Monday mornings.The season is 11 weeks long beginning mid June and ending mid August. Space is limited to the first 28 players. The Ironwood Junior Golf League Teaching staff structures the league to meet the needs of the group of golfers. Individualized and small group instruction is the base of the program with on course instruction and play also incorporated. In an effort to shape well rounded young golfers, league participants also receive lessons in course etiquette and proper course management. Playing from either the white or red tees, the course plays manageable for young men and women of all skill levels. The final week of league concludes with a family luncheon after golf.  |
